The 57-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter is the best-selling female artist in country music history and one of the best-selling artists of all time. She was even named by Billboard as the leader of the 90s country-pop crossover stars. In 1993 her first self-titled studio album failed commercially but she found success with her second album after collaborating with producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange who later became her husband. This second studio album, titled The Woman in Me was released in 1995 and it ensured that Shania Twain became a household name for pop-country music lovers, selling 20 million copies worldwide and winning one Grammy Award.

Two years later in 1997 she released Come on Over which produced 12 singles, including “From This Moment,” “You’re Still the One,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” This album earned her a whopping four Grammy Awards and sold 40 million copies worldwide

Shania released her fourth studio album in 2002 which also did exceptionally well with eight singles; it sold over 20 million copies and certified Diamond in the United States. After releasing her Greatest Hits album in 2004 she entered a hiatus and later revealed that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease and dysphonia which had led to an extremely weakened singing voice. She bravely shared her journey on a miniseries called Why Not? With Shania Twain then released her first single in six years in 2011 called “Today is Not Your Day,” as well as an autobiography, From This Moment On.

In 2012 she was well-recovered and agreed to a Vegas concert residency until 2014. Since then, Shania Twain has been showcasing her talents doing world tours and released her first studio album in 15 years in 2017.
